Benefits ⟩ Accident Cover

GetSavvi Health’s Accident Cover benefit provides members with peace of mind when they need it most.

The benefit covers members so that they don’t have to be burdened with high hospital costs in an emergency where hospital care is needed.

• Members have access to an overall annual limit of R500 000 per policy, with a maximum of R100 000 per event. Please note that the Emergency Casualty and Stabilisation Benefit, Personal Accident Benefit and take-home medication amounts mentioned below will be deducted from this annual limit for the whole family.
• Emergency Casualty and Stabilisation Benefit: Limited to a maximum of R20 000 per insured person per annum.
• Personal Accident Benefit: Members have access to a maximum of R100 000 per incident.

What is Guarantee of Payment (GOP) and how can you obtain it?

GOP is the method through which the company guarantees the hospital payment for services rendered based on the diagnosis provided.

Claims may be rejected if no request for GOP is made within 48 hours of the incident.

Note: GOP is only applicable to policies which include Accident Cover benefits.
